How Rasket stops abuse
How Rasket keeps phishing and spam off its network: limits on new accounts, mail held for review, automatic pausing, and a form to report abuse.
What every sender goes through
New accounts start small. For its first 24 hours an account can send at most 100 emails an hour and 500 a day. For the rest of its first week the limit grows with each day it sends cleanly.
Suspicious mail is held, not sent. A young account's mail is checked for phishing wording and for impersonating a known brand. Anything that matches waits for a person on our team, who releases it or rejects it.
New and look-alike domains are reviewed. A sending domain registered in the last 30 days, or one shaped like a well-known brand, cannot send until a person has looked at it.
Big first campaigns wait for a look. A new account's campaign to more than 500 people, or one whose content trips the checks, is held before the first message goes out.
Removed senders don't come back quietly. A new account that shares a card, a network or a domain with one we removed is held in limited sending until a person approves it.
Automatic pausing
We measure every account's bounces and spam complaints as mail is delivered. When either crosses a line, the account is warned, limited or suspended on its own, without waiting for a person.
| What happens | Bounces | Complaints |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | 2% | 0.05% |
| Limited sending | 5% | 0.1% |
| Suspended | 10% | 0.3% |
What may and may not be sent is in our Acceptable Use Policy.
Got phishing, spam or malware sent through Rasket? Tell us here or write to abuse@rasket.com. A person reads every report and can stop the sender the same day. We send a short receipt and only write again if we need more from you.
