GuidesFramer

Framer

The Rasket plugin for Framer puts your Rasket sign-up forms on a Framer site, and sends the forms you build in Framer to your Rasket contacts.

Coming soon: the Rasket plugin is not in Framer's Marketplace yet. This page describes it as it will ship.

What it does

  • Inserts a Rasket sign-up form. Pick one of your live embedded forms and the plugin adds it to the page. It shows the published version, with its consent box and double opt-in if the form uses them.
  • Adds rasket.js to the site. One script in every page's head, so your pop-ups and flyouts show and store flows can follow a visitor who agreed.
  • Connects a Framer form. Rasket gives you an address and a secret to paste into the form's webhook. Each submission becomes a contact.

Before you start

  • A live embedded sign-up form, to insert one. Build and publish it in Rasket under Audience, then Forms.
  • A published Framer site. Rasket accepts sign-ups only from your site's own address, so publish once before you insert a form.
  • An admin of the Rasket project, to sign in. The plugin acts as you, with only the access you approve.

  1. In Framer, open the Rasket plugin and choose Sign in with Rasket. Your browser opens Rasket.
  2. Sign in to Rasket if you need to, pick the project, and approve what the plugin asks for.
  3. Rasket shows a code. Check that the plugin shows the same code, then choose Framer shows this code. If it does not match, choose It doesn't match and nothing is connected.
  4. Go back to Framer. The plugin finishes signing in and shows your project's name.

A sign-in lasts ten minutes. To switch project, choose Sign out in the plugin's menu and sign in again. Each Framer project remembers its site entry per Rasket project, so switching back finds it again.

What the plugin may do
It asks forWhy
team:readShow which Rasket project you signed in to.
contacts:readList your live sign-up forms and your connected Framer forms.
contacts:writeConnect and disconnect a Framer form.
topics:readList the topics a Framer form can subscribe people to.
events:read, events:writeFind or create the site entry that lets your site send sign-ups.

Insert a sign-up form

  1. In the plugin, open Sign-up form and pick the form.
  2. Choose Insert form. The first time, the plugin adds a RasketForm.tsx code file to your project.
  3. Place the form on the page, then publish the site.

On the canvas the form is a preview. On the published site it shows exactly what you published in Rasket. To change its words or colours, edit the form in Rasket and publish it again; the Framer site picks the change up without republishing.

Add rasket.js

Turn on rasket.js on this site and confirm. The plugin adds one script to every page's head. It sends nothing until a visitor agrees to tracking. Turn it off in the plugin, or in Framer under Site Settings, then Custom Code. Inserted forms keep working without it.

Connect a Framer form

  1. In the plugin, open Framer form and fill in the form below.
  2. Choose Connect form. The plugin shows a URL and a secret. The secret is shown once.
  3. In Framer, select the form. Under Send To, choose Webhook and paste the URL and the secret.
  4. Publish the site and submit the form once to try it.
Connect a Framer form
FieldWhat it takes
NameWhat you call the form. Only you see it.
Topic people joinOne of your project's topics. Create one in Rasket first.
Email field nameThe Name of the form's email field in Framer, such as Email.
First name field nameOptional. The Name of a field with the person's first name.
How people agree to emailA checkbox field people tick, or your confirmation that everyone who submits agreed, or neither. With neither, people are added but not subscribed.
What your form says about emailThe words beside your form's checkbox. Rasket keeps them with each sign-up as evidence.

Field names match without regard to case. A checkbox counts as yes when Framer sends on, true or yes. To stop a form, choose Disconnect in the plugin: its URL stops answering at once.

  • Inserted forms record the published version a person saw, with its consent text, exactly as every Rasket sign-up form does.
  • Framer forms subscribe a person only when the opt-in field says yes, or when you confirmed everyone agreed. Otherwise the person is added but not subscribed, and campaigns skip them.
  • No form re-subscribes anyone who said no. An unsubscribed contact, or one who opted out of the topic, is left as they are. Framer forms have no double opt-in; use an inserted Rasket form for that.

The integrations overview lists the other ways to bring people into Rasket.

Troubleshooting

  • “Publish this site once.” The site has no published address yet. Publish it, then open the plugin again.
  • The form does not appear on the site. Check the form is still live in Rasket and is an embedded form. A paused form disappears within about ten minutes.
  • “rasket.js is turned off for this site.” Someone switched it off under Custom Code. Turn it back on there.
  • Framer form submissions do not arrive. Check the URL and the secret are both pasted, and that the email field's Name matches. If you lost the secret, disconnect the form and connect it again.
  • “You were signed out.” A sign-in must be approved again within 90 days, or after 30 days unused. Sign in again.
